\ninto our pockets and leave quickly, hands placed just so to conceal our bulging treasure.<\/p>\n
Or sometimes we stay late,
\nstay longer, and try to sense the slowly shifting magnetic field,
\ncapture it all in a line, or a few.<\/p>\n
I think one cannot steal from a true muse;
\nwe are freely given, even our fragments.
\nlimbs unfurling like one of e e\u2019s lines
\nemerging paths,\u00a0 hidden depths
\nAnd the poetry murmured in the breezes above her.<\/p>\n
The consenting muse
\nis a seduction for the lonely pen and dried ink.
\nWho can resist such a force?<\/p>\n
I like our meetings, and how he lets me take small credit for his changing mind, as if I could.
