Love,<\/p>\n

Perhaps I have been gone too long; I’m getting quite giddy with thoughts of returning to work, to the stage, and the thrill of naked flesh against the murky light.\u00a0 I wrap a lock of hair around a finger.\u00a0 It’s shorter than last you saw it.\u00a0 The ends curl with the summer heat, so much more humid here than in Colorado.\u00a0 I sigh, imagine myself close to you, imagine the play of breath between us, the power in a locked gaze.\u00a0 An electric trill resonates through my nerves, tiny leaps of anxiety of which\u00a0 I thought I’d been cured quite thoroughly.\u00a0 ha. \u00a0 A strip club is quite different from a meditation retreat center.<\/p>\n

\nThe breath reaches into the body, brushing the dark, spreading bones, meeting space with space.<\/em>
\nThe body rests on Earth, practical, and reaches into the limitless sanity of Heaven.<\/em>
\nTwo friends dance along a path.\u00a0 Sometimes it looks like they are making love.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Relatively, that is.\u00a0 And a stripper is quite a different incarnation of this “me.”\u00a0 Relatively.\u00a0 I eagerly await the final layer of re-integration back into my city life, my livelihood that is humorously, a shedding.\u00a0 They say enlightenment is a shedding, an awareness– illumination–of that state of being which has always been our nature, ultimately, absolutely, unconditionally.\u00a0 Thus have I heard.<\/p>\n

I indulged myself with writing some imperfect poetry while I was away, stealing moments in between practice sessions, looking out at the expanse of surrounding mountains, and filling pages with short musings.\u00a0 Just this once, I’ll let you read my diary, soon I’m sure this pretty head will be filled with all those oh-so-sweet-just-one-more sex fantasies again.\u00a0 I hope so.\u00a0 You’ll have to come in soon, be my muse…<\/p>\n

my mind can’t help but<\/p>\n

join with you here as my heart spreads<\/p>\n

against the sky<\/p>\n

I am exhilarated at the<\/p>\n

closeness of Heaven,<\/p>\n

my feet planted on a mountain peak<\/p>\n

Even the clouds dance up here,<\/p>\n

in seeming salute to we visitors<\/p>\n

the beautiful wanderers<\/p>\n

homeless and ecstatic<\/p>\n

we are a dreaming dance<\/p>\n

a dancing dream.<\/p>\n

Training the mind is a<\/p>\n

relief,<\/p>\n

not needing to craft some punishment here,<\/p>\n

with coveted collars and paddles<\/p>\n

elaborate lovely tricks and games<\/p>\n

just coming back<\/p>\n

again and<\/p>\n

again<\/p>\n

and againbeing carried a little less far this time from<\/p>\n

home.<\/p>\n

Imperfect poetry<\/p>\n

frees me from spinning on the wheel,<\/p>\n

from planning the plan that I’ve planned and surmised, and edited and revised,<\/p>\n

habitual mind thinking, pleading, convincing<\/p>\n

that it will be different this<\/p>\n

future–<\/p>\n

As if a world without the senses<\/p>\n

without breath<\/p>\n

without you,<\/p>\n

could be worth investing in at all.<\/p>\n
